Al-Haq International Law Orientation Course

Al-Haq Center for Applied International Law is pleased to announce its International Law Orientation Course for employees of international organizations and diplomatic staff. The course will take place at the Al-Haq Center for Applied International Law in Ramallah from 9 – 12 May 2022. The Orientation Course includes presentations by legal professionals and experts and discussions on key legal questions concerning the Palestinian people, International Humanitarian Law and International Human Rights Law and their applications in the Palestinian context.
The course includes two days of sessions at the Al-Haq Center for Applied International Law premises, and two field visits designed by the Al-Haq staff providing insight into violations committed against the Palestinian people. The four days program will provide participants with the opportunity to engage with human rights issues, organizations, including having an insight on violations committed against the Palestinian people within international law frameworks.
The Orientation Course is open to employees of international organizations and diplomatic staff and missions in the country. Participants do not need to have prior knowledge in international law or international human rights law and professionals from different backgrounds are welcome to apply.
The orientation course is free of charge. Applicants will be contacted when the selection process is finalized. Please note that participants need to attend all four days of the course. The course will be carried out in English. Upon completing the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion. Due Covid19, the number of participants invited to join the course may be limited.
