In 2021, professor Lynn Welchman published a book titled “Al-Haq: A Global History of the First Palestinian Human Rights Organization” - (University of California Press, 2021 - New Directions in Palestinian Studies). The publication studies the origins of Al-Haq, the first Palestinian human rights organization, and of the wider significance of the methodologies and approaches instigated by Al-Haq and developed under Israeli occupation and into the early years of the Palestinian Authority.
